Advisory Teacher of the Visually Impaired

Liverpool City Council is looking to recruit an Advisory Teacher of the Visually Impaired within the Children and Young Peoples Directorate.
The successful applicant will be required to work within the Sensory Support Service as part of a dynamic team of peripatetic advisory teachers. They will provide guidance and support to the families of children and young people with a visual impairment including those under statutory school age. They will provide specialist support advice and training to schools and settings on the educational management of pupils with visual impairment.
For applicants with the mandatory QTVI status there will be an enhancement of SEN2 and TLR2a.
For those willing to train the SEN1 enhancement will be offered with SEN2 and TLR 2a awarded on achievement of the QTVI status.
