The Batten Disease Family Association would like to invite you to our Education Day at Linden Lodge School, Wimbledon, London SW19 6JB on 19th May from 10 am to 3.30 pm. We have been involved in a European Union funded Education and Juvenile Batten Disease project which has brought together many people working with children and young people with CLN3 disease (Juvenile Batten Disease) from Norway, Germany, Finland, Denmark, Scotland, England and the United States. The BDFA has been very actively involved throughout the project and has worked with other patient associations, specialist Batten Disease services and specialist schools for the visually impaired.
The Project findings will be presented at our Education Day at Linden Lodge School. There will be sessions on a range of issues including communication, memory difficulties and behaviour. There will also be a session on Music and Music Therapy This event is for parents and professionals, including teachers, learning support assistants, therapists and SEN officers.
