We are looking to recruit a skilled and experienced teaching assistant to contribute to the development of high quality support for pupils with visual impairment in Brent. The role will include supporting schools in setting up specialist access arrangements, training new teaching assistants (TAs) in the specialist aspects of their role, promoting social inclusion for pupils with visual impairment and to manage and co-ordinate the BAIT (Brent Access to Inclusive Technology) Service for the Borough. The position is a full time post that has the potential to be split into two distinct part time positions to facilitate flexible working.
Candidates must have experience of working with children with a vision impairment, have a recognised qualification in working with children and young people (CYP) with vision impairment and training in Grade 2 Braille to a recognised standard.
