This post offers an exciting and interesting opportunity for a committed and motivated teacher to work within an established team for children and young people with visual impairment.
The post holder will work in schools and other settings to promote pupil progress and independence. The post involves providing appropriate teaching and learning opportunities to ensure the successful inclusion of pupils with visual impairments.
The post holder will train teachers/teaching assistants and support them in providing an accessible curriculum.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and successful experience as a teacher is essential, but an experienced teacher willing to gain the Mandatory qualification within 3 years would be considered.

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
a. Contractual hours, 32.5 hours Monday to Friday in accordance with the needs of the service.
b. The post holder will be expected to work within the legal requirements of educational protocols, standing orders and corporate governance requirements.
