Location: Across the counties of Flintshire, Wrexham and Denbighshire
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, suitably qualified and experienced teacher to become a Specialist Advisory Teacher within our regional Sensory Service covering the counties of Flintshire, Wrexham and Denbighshire.
The successful candidate will ideally hold a mandatory qualification as a QTVI, but a willingness to train and obtain the qualification will be considered.
The post holder will be responsible for overseeing the provision and progress for all children and young people (0-19yrs) with a vision impairment under the direction of the Sensory Service Manager.
Collaborative working is an essential part of this role and the successful candidate will be expected to develop close working relationships with pupils, parents, schools and a range of health professionals.
Building capacity of staff within our schools is a priority and collaborative working with a range of Local Authority officers is an essential part of this role. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
The successful applicant will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Services check.
