Salary: £ 19,152 p.a. (Full time equivalent salary £ 25,463 p.a. pro rata)
Part-time: 32.5 hours per week, term-time plus 5 training days
We are looking for an enthusiastic Mobility/Habiliation officer to work both within Exhall Grange and out supporting the children of Warwickshire on the Vision Support Service (VSS) caseload. The purpose of the role is to provide mobility skills for children with visual impairments at Exhall Grange, and those on the VSS caseload from birth to 19 years in homes, early years’ settings and schools. The successful candidate will need to have their own transport, business insurance and be able to travel countywide.
The VSS is managed by Exhall Grange Specialist School on behalf of the Local Authority. You will be part of an enthusiastic and growing team that is highly motivated to establish an excellent service across Warwickshire for all pupils with a visual impairment.
Exhall Grange Specialist School is a maintained Community Special School for children aged 2-19. We are a designated school for visual impairment but also cater for children with physical disabilities, complex medical needs, communication, learning difficulties and, increasingly, children on the autistic spectrum. Exhall Grange offers the full curriculum, which is differentiated according to need. Access to the curriculum is provided through small groups, specialist teaching and adapted resources.
