I am a doctoral researcher at Reading University. I did my QTVI training at Birmingham 5 years ago and have been a teacher for nearly 30 years. I’ve been a VIEW member since I started my QTVI training so I know what a helpful bunch you all are.
I am researching the impact of the inclusion of VI pupils on the teaching and learning of others and need to find settings where there will be staff who are going to be working with a VI pupil for the first time this coming September. Ideally it would be a KS2 or secondary setting, although I used a post-16 setting for part of my pilot study and gained some useful insights. I am based in north Hampshire so anywhere in central southern England would be workable.
If you are aware of a school or teacher that will be working with a low vision or blind pupil for the first time this coming September I would be very grateful if you could let me know.
My university email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
When I contact the school I would explain I found them via a message on the forum but would not mention your name specifically. When I contact the school I would explain I found them via a message on the VIEW forum but would not mention your name specifically.
