QTVI - Qualified Teacher for the Visually Impaired

One 0.8 FTE Part-Time, Fixed-Term until 31st March 2020
One Full-Time, Fixed-Term for 3 Months
These post are fixed-term due to the service being redesigned, but there are no plans to reduce staffing level within the service and therefore it is very likely that they will become permanent posts, although there may be some changes to pay and conditions.
You will be providing support to children and young people with VI, their families and educational settings; and will be able to communicate effectively with a variety of professionals, parents and children. You will also have a good level of experience in working with children and who have SEN, direct experience working with families; and ideally, good knowledge of how to promote education access for children and young people with visual impairment.
These are peripatetic posts covering 4 local authorities (Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Bath & NE Somerset), and require travel to different schools, and other settings.
