We are seeking to appoint a Qualified Teacher of children and young people with Vision Impairment (QTVI) to provide support and advice for teachers in mainstream and special schools and direct teaching.

This permanent position is for 3 days per week (salary pro rata) under the NCC Centrally Employed Teacher’s Pay and Conditions.

Salary: £23,720 - £35,008
Closing date: 21 February 2020 at midday

Teachers Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale + SEN allowance (dependent upon successful applicant holding the Mandatory Qualification for Teachers of Children and Young People with Vision Impairment).

This is an exciting and interesting opportunity for a committed and motivated teacher to join a countywide Sensory Impairment Service, which delivers support to children and young people with vision impairment and hearing impairment. Our aims are to enable children’s learning, access and successful inclusion through the delivery of high quality specialist support and advice to schools, direct specialist teaching, joint working with other professionals and advice and support for parents/carers of pupils with a Sensory Impairment.

A Mandatory Qualification for Teachers of Children and Young People with Vision Impairment (QTVI) is required, however, applicants currently in their final year of this course will be considered.

You will also be required to train teachers/TAs and support them in providing an accessible curriculum and supervise members of the service.
