RNIB is funding and co-ordinating a 2-year nationwide partnership project to develop a UK specialist curriculum for children and young people with vision impairment.

The project partners are Thomas Pocklington Trust, VIEW & VICTAR (University of Birmingham.)

We are looking for a Specialist QTVI to join the project for one-day per week to oversee technical and specialist aspects, engage and co-ordinate involvement from the wider VI education sector and to lead on quality assurance of the Project outcomes.

This Project will bring partners from the sector together to define a programme of interventions that constitute best practice in the support of children and young people with vision impairment. The Project will also collate the resources, frameworks and professional tools used in the sector on a central online resources hub.

The Specialist QTVI Advisor will bring specialist knowledge, expertise and experience to inform decisions and outcomes. Working alongside the Project Manager, you will bring your experience and technical knowledge of the learning needs of children with vision impairment to influence development of the VI curriculum and resources and enable effective engagement and representation from the wider sector.

Appointment is subject to an Enhanced Criminal Records Check and relevant Barred Lists check.
