Starts April 2021: Positive Looking Online Training Course

More Information

The next opportunity to attend the popular course on Positive Looking starts on the 22nd April and runs for 6 sessions. There are no powerpoints used to present this course, and whilst it is online it remains a fully engaged, highly practical, resource rich, creative course from which you will take away many many low cost ideas to support your children.

Positive Looking is suitable for all children, and pushes vision up the agenda, as through the course you learn how to promote visual skills within the everyday curriculum and life of the child.

Image description
In the image that accompanies this advert I am wearing an outfit for the Story Time Show which provides so many wonderful rich opportunities to support visual skills, they pop from the page. Visual attention, fixation, discrimination of images spring to mind as a starting point. I am wearing a homemade sunny sunflower hat, made from glitter paper bought from Amazon and mounted on grey board. I have a yellow neckerchief on to attract the child's attention, made from coloured fabric squares that I also buy from Amazon. I am wearing a red long sleeved t-shirt to achieve high contrast from the yellow neckerchief.

I am wearing red gloves to which I have glued yellow pompoms. These gloves are £2.50 each. They are great social communicators and work beautifully for children during the Story Time Shows and also for supporting and promoting visual skills: visual attention, fixation, visually directed reaching, increasing engagement. These are the type of things I share on all my courses, including Positive Looking. You will walk away inspired.

These are the session topics and dates. The cost to attend is £180.00
