About WESC Foundation
WESC Foundation, the Specialist Centre for Visual Impairment is a charity located on a
14-acre campus at the edge of Exeter. Founded in 1838 (and known from the 1960s
until 2013 as the West of England School and College) we offer a range of educational,
care and support services to young people and adults with visual impairment and other
complex needs. In addition to the main campus there is also a horticulture site at West
Hill (just outside Exeter near Ottery St Mary), and five charity shops, all of which are part
of our own social enterprise.

About the role
As a school and college on a journey of improvement we are looking for a dynamic,
student focused teacher to join our team at WESC Foundation.
You will be motivated by providing the best opportunities for students and determined to
help us deliver quality learning throughout the campus.  As a lead in learning you will
have high aspirations for the students you teach and will work closely with your class
team to deliver high quality learning experiences.  You will have qualified teacher status
with some relevant experience in the teaching of SEND students within mainstream or a
specialist setting.
