The role:
We are looking for a qualified Teacher of the Deaf (QToD) to join the Sensory Team within Southwark. The team outreach to all of the Southwark schools and settings, and support birth to five cases in homes and nurseries. The team provides excellent practice in provision to the pupils, mainstream teachers/support staff, special schools and other professionals including education and health, and children’s families is essential.

About you:
The role of QToD requires a highly skilled practitioner, working within the Sensory Team. You will be expected to collaborate with the Lead Teacher for the Deaf. You must be able to work collaboratively and effectively as part of a team. You should be a qualified teacher of the deaf and be experienced in working with the full 0 – 25 age range across all ability levels. An ability to work independently and with high levels of efficiency and self-organisation is essential.

Additional information:
Term time only. Hours of work are 13.00 per week, the days will be agreed with the team manager.

An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required for this role.
