UKLMA ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
This online version of the Learning Media Assessment procedure is based upon the LMA materials developed by Alan Koenig and Cay Holbrook and published by the Texas School for the Blind (1995).
Thanks to the organisations who have supported the UKLMA including:
- Texas School for the Blind for their kind permission to use and adapt the original materials
- RNIB for understanding the importance of this resource and funding its development
- VIEW for hosting the UKLMA and making it available to teachers of children and young people with vision impairment in the UK
And to the following individuals who made it possible:
- Cay Holbrook who provided invaluable input, content and advice on the LMA process
- Dominic Bath who designed and developed the UKLMA Online platform and, with endless patience, made it all work
- Steve McCall who adapted the LMA content for the UK context and developed and edited the supporting materials with his customary flair and expertise
- Rory Cobb who managed and coordinated the project so positively and with such good humour
- Simon Russell and his team at IDM Media who filmed and edited the UKLMA video materials with such commitment, sensitivity and attention to detail
But most of all thanks to the children, parents, schools and services who participated in the project and were so generous with their time and support.
