Partners in Learning for Vision Impairment education support staff

Now with one-year and two-year study options!

We’re pleased to announce that VIEW’s Partners in Learning – Advanced Certificate for Education Support Staff now offers greater flexibility for working professionals. The course now provides two distinct study pathways, making this advanced course more accessible to education support staff across different circumstances.

Two Study Pathways Available

Starting this September, you can now choose:

One-Year Pathway
Complete all six units within one academic year. This option is suitable for those seeking to gain specialist knowledge and skills quickly and apply them in their professional practice sooner.

Two-Year Pathway
The same comprehensive content delivered over two years, allowing participants to balance their studies with existing work and personal commitments more effectively.

Both pathways maintain the same high standard of tutor-led training and are offered at identical cost.

Who’s It For?

Whether you’re a teaching assistant, support worker, teacher, or early years practitioner working with children and young people with vision impairment, this course will give you the tools you need to make a real difference.

What You’ll Learn

The course covers six comprehensive units, from understanding vision impairment and effective practice techniques to developing communication skills and promoting independence. Each unit blends self-study resources with practical assignments and knowledge checks. It equips you with the specialist knowledge and skills to ensure equitable access to education and achieve the best outcomes for learners in your setting.
