We would like to invite you to WESC Foundation’s Annual Conference which will be held on Thursday 17 May 2018 at our Exeter campus.

The theme for the 2018 Annual Conference will be: Achieving educational outcomes for young people with complex needs by effective multi-professional working!

The WESC Annual Conference will explore the implications and challenges of joint commissioning and multi-disciplinary working. The conference will present examples of good practice set within the current national and local context.

The speakers that have confirmed include:

  • Dame Christine Lenehan, Director, Council for Disabled Children
  • Andre Imich, SEN & Disability Professional Adviser, Department of Education
  • Clare Howard, Chief Executive, Natspec
  • Dorothy Hadleigh, SEND Service Manager, Torbay Council

If you are a SEN professional, local authority commissioner, carer, or anyone who is interested in the field of visual impairment and SEN then this is an opportunity to gain professional development and keep updated on recent legislation and practice.

This is going to be an extremely popular conference and therefore there will be a limited number of places so we recommend completing the booking form as soon as possible to guarantee your place.

To attend the conference we are offering the special price of £120 per ticket. Parents of children with a visual impairment (VI) will be given a 50% reduction in cost.

Please visit our website for the booking form and more information.
