VIEW 2023 – Joining information

VIEW Professional Development Conference 16 and 17 March 2023

Birmingham Strathallan Hotel, BW Signature Collection, Hagley Road, Birmingham

Thank you for booking to attend the 2023 VIEW Conference

Train Strike

We are encouraged to hear that most delegates who had originally planned to travel by train have been able to make alternative arrangements such as car-sharing and taking the coach so they can still take advantage of our specialist CPD and networking event.

To make the conference run as smoothly as possible under the new circumstances the welcome desk will remain open for delegates as we appreciate that the traffic may be heavier than usual. Don’t worry if you’re late!

Parking can be found in the outside car park or in the Rotunda tower of the hotel. There are signs and machines saying that there is a parking charge but this is being waived for our conference guests so please don’t pay!

There are 130 spaces in the hotel, but in the event that you can’t find parking at the hotel, consult: https://www.yourparkingspace.co.uk/ which will show the availability of spaces in the area – use postcode: B16 9RY.

Registration and hotel check in

Prior to arrival at the Strathallan hotel, if you are staying overnight, please complete the: Pre-register form which will have been sent to you by email. If you are attending as a day delegate, there are no forms to complete prior to the day.

When you arrive at the hotel, come to the registration desk to pick up your badge. If you are a residential delegate, your room key should be available from the afternoon tea break.

There will be a luggage storage room available at the Strathallan for you to leave your luggage until your rooms are available. Please approach the hotel front desk for this.

Updates from the field

If you wish to speak at the updates session on Thursday afternoon please email Jane Sharp at jsharp.crofton@gmail.com with details by Wednesday 8 March so that we can put a list together in advance. Updates should be verbal information on points of general interest to the field and only 5 minutes in length – no PowerPoint presentations please.
