Our Team:

The Specialist Teaching and Advisory Service (STAS) has a team of specialist advisors with experience and qualifications in the areas of Speech, Language and Communication (including Autism), Complex Physical/Medical Needs and Cognition and Learning. We work in settings across Halton providing outreach support and advice in the form of consortiums, training and modelling and support to staff. We work closely with the Educational Psychology Service and are part of the wider SEND Team.

Hours: 19.5 per week to be worked over 3 days.

Your Contributions:

You will work 1:1 with pupils with visual impairment, supporting them and their families, as well as providing INSET and training to settings across Halton. You will complete environmental audits of settings to ensure their suitability for visually impaired learners, including providing advice on Risk Assessments.
