Salary: £41,393.79 - £46,970.48 (pro rata) depending on qualifications and experience.

About the role
This role offers a great opportunity to be the lead Vision Impairment champion for
InFocus Charity. This is an expansion of our current QTVI Advisory teacher role in our
College, which has been successfully operating for two years. The current postholder is
retiring.
Using your QTVI qualification, knowledge and experience, you will work with tutors and
learning support workers across the College to ensure that all students are being taught
in a way that supports their vision impairment and encourages them to make effective
user of any sight they may have. This will be a mixture of in- lesson work, working with
tutors in the planning of lessons and activities and training and education for all College
staff.
You will also spend time in our adult services working with staff to ensure that they are
working effectively to support people with vision impairment. You will also be involved in
induction training for all hands-on staff around VI and CVI.
As our lead VI champion, this is a leadership role. You will from time to time be asked to
represent the organisation in this capacity and act as an ambassador for our Vision
Impairment specialism.
